As school gardens and urban youth agriculture programs wind down in the winter months, many are left with a frost-hardy bounty of vegetables that often end up in the compost pile. Noah Sheetz and his network of garden experts can harvest the end of season’s vegetables and process them into freezer and shelf stable products including pesto, lacto-fermented and canned products, dried herb blends, blanched and cryovac-packaged frozen vegetable blends, frozen vegetable soups, and more.
Noah Sheetz regularly conducts cooking demonstrations, in and outdoors, for a variety of local food producers, farmers’ markets, and youth and agriculture programs. Noah can promote your local product with in-store cooking demos, or outside at winter and summer farmers’ markets. Noah regularly collaborates with youth and agriculture program coordinators to demonstrate how to harvest and cook with garden-grown vegetables.
Noah is a certified ServSafe proctor and instructor who can provide online and/or classroom instruction and exam proctoring for state mandated certification in this sanitation and food handling course.
